Silence is Golden

Although the Alamo Draft house is best known for giving people a quiet and enjoyable movie experience, the paramount theater has been aiming for that goal too. They are not allowing any use of cell phones during the movie.  The usher gives the cell phone user three warnings before the cell phone user is kicked out of the theatres without a ticket refund.

Here are some tips of what to do when people are ruining your movie experience:
1)      Bold Approach: If the movie ticket was $10 and someone was too loud, ask the loud person to give you $10 back. If someone wasted your time at a movie theatre, you deserve to get a 100% refund. You might think this is crazy but it has worked. In fact, Ms. Walker (the  LASA Science teacher) did  exactly this and got her $10 back. J
2)      Mild Approach: If the talkers are irritating you very much, go ask them to please quiet.

For those who love to talk a lot in theaters, it’s understandable that talking is more exciting than staying quieter. Maybe it’s singing along to the a musical, being so nervous on how the movie will end and needing a friend to talk to, or revealing what happens at the end of Harry Potter Part 2 to a friend. No matter how tempting this is, please be mindful of those around you. Some people think that a movie filled with silent audiences is golden.
