The $1 million Reveal

Amazon’s IMDb is a credible site that gives accurate information about movies, actors, or anything film, but are they too accurate? An unknown Texas Actress believes so and she is going to court to prove it.

The actress joined Amazon’s IMDbPro in 2008 to help boost her popularity. But there was a catch. The Asian actress (who went by “Jane Doe”) specifically wanted her true age and name to be kept private to keep her private separate from for regular life and to also not be eliminated in auditions because of age. And what did Amazon do? They revealed her information. And on top of that, Jane Doe believes that the only way they got that info was by stealing her credit card information. And because they did that, Jane Doe will see Amazon in court with $1 million on the line.

Cool story. How does it apply to me? Whether you are about to be an up-and-coming teenaged star or maybe just going through a normal day of high school, Hannah Montana may have been able to keep “the best of both worlds”, but that’s fiction. Just be you.

I think that IMDb crossed the fine line of accuracy on this one. Others think the actress needs to calm down. What do you think?

  1. Wow, cool story. I didn't know that actresses and actors didn't like having their info revealed.
