The chilling new sequel to Happy Feet , Happy Feet 2, came out on November 18. The name sounds extremely creative doesn’t it, but anyways the newest movie is about Mumble’s son Erik who fears dancing, because of an embarrassing accident. Erik then meets Sven, a penguin who can fly…, and makes him his new role model instead of Mumble. Then trouble strikes, which forces Mumble, and Erik to save the other emperor penguins. There are also some krill, trying to become higher in the food chain, which is just sort of weird.
Most reviews say that while Happy Feet 2 is visually entertaining it lacks a strong plot. It does have a lot of fun and energy and music put into it but the original Happy Feet was much better.
As for the cast many of the characters from the original have returned for this one. The big exception to this is Gloria (Brittany Murphy). Murphy was scheduled to have a part in this movie but she died with pneumonia in 2009 so instead Pink, the singer, plays the voice of Gloria.
