Brats and Tiaras

Picture 5 year old children wearing princess-like dresses and acting like 20 year old beauties. The children wear too much masacara to open their eye lids and  drink caffeine to keep up with the hectic schedule of a  beauty pageant. This is the life of many children in the Toddlers and Tiaras.

In Season 4, there was a pageant competition between Mackenzie and Eden. Mackenzie and Eden competed for  the ‘80s-themed Universal Royal Beauty Pageant in Plano, Texas, where one girl would be chosen to get $1,000 and a pink princess canopy bed. These girls aren't able to live out a normal childhood. They are having to worry too much about being beautiful. The parents spoil them and their maturity level is very low. They are still crying babies and can't help get what they want all the time. Mackenzie is 4 years old and has finally gotten rid of her pacifier. Because of the pacifier, she needed flippers for her top and bottom teeth.  She dressed up like a Bratz doll while Eden dressed up like a Barbie doll. In the end, neither Eden and Mackenzie won. Mackenzie didn't get any trophy while Eden went home with a huge trophy, a big crown, a cash prize and a sash. Although Eden got a handful of trophies, she went home as an unsatisfied and grumpy princess.

The show should get older girls. Maybe teens and tiaras? All I know is that these young toddlers aren't even old enough to realize whether they really want to do the beauty pageant. Their parents give them  all the dresses and toys in the world if they just look pretty.  To get a look into the Season 4 competition between Mackenzie and Eden, go here.
