AWFUL Movies Are Not So Bad?

     I think awful movies are what make America. They symbolize that failure that comes before success (hopefully for the director). These movies bring people together and make people laugh at how bad they are. Finding horrible movies has become a fun thing to do on the weekends for many Americans. Sure there are types of horrible movies (ranging from so awful it is funny to "no comment."), and there are people who hate horrible movies and love amazing, blockbusters. But I say, "Why not love both?" In a serious, professional filming world, people need to be reminded of trials (but mainly errors). Here is a list of movies that I think "make America". Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief
Spy Kids (all of them)
The Prince & I
Step It Up (all of them)
Jack & Jill (I haven't seen it and I don't plan to)
National Treasure
Any movie with:
     Reese Witherspoon
     Drew Barrymore
     Jennifer Lopez
     Julia Roberts
     any movie with a famous rapper playing a guy living on the streets

     So the next time you are at the video store or maybe a movie plays on TBS, don't say to yourself, "Man that movie stinks." You should say, "Wow what an amazing example of American culture at its finest."
